Simply put, world rally championship or WRC as it is called is the pinnacle of achievement for any driver worth his salt. Imagine going through a road with a million unknown obstacles. Driven along only with the notes that your o-driver has put together for you. Don't mistake what I'm saying, but these instructions, known as pacenotes are very comprehensive and include not just the degree of the upcoming turn, but also the gradient, the slope of the turn or bank as the co-driver refers to it along with the whether caution needs to be excersized. The co-driver indicates in meters the amount of distance to be covered before the next turn too, so that the driver can decide when and how much to brake. this occurs at extremely quick pace and being a rally driver requires nerves of steel and balls of iron. The co-driver must not only be quick in reading out the pace notes, but also very very clear. These notes are written down on what is known as reekie session where the driver and the co-driver go around the circuit or decided route on a standard road car and note down each and every part of the track. Think about this, these drivers must also take into changing road conditions when it rains!! Now, thats rally driving in a nutshell for you..
